Human beings, through their willpower and consciousness, possess the capacity to reflect the light of life. This light manifests in a person's behaviours, choices, and the bonds they establish with life. However, when one relaxes their willpower, the soul drifts away from its own essence. Laxity is not merely a flaw; it is the soul losing its own potential and being deprived of the blessings that life offers.
The most prominent harm caused by laxity is laziness. A lazy soul becomes a captive to desires and easy options. It spends time in hollow preoccupations, letting opportunities slip away unnoticed. It contents itself with merely "passing" through life rather than truly "living" the blessings it offers. Blessings stand in its presence, yet the soul cannot see or feel them. This laziness hinders both the internal and social development of a human being; talents atrophy, consciousness numbs, and the soul is drawn into darkness.
Conversely, discipline and industriousness are the breath of the soul. Possessing a consistent moral structure, keeping the willpower alive, and moving with attentiveness bring a human being closer both to God and to the beauties of creation. Industriousness keeps the soul vibrant, causing intellect and emotion to work in harmony. Every step strengthens the inner order; every labour reveals the true value of the blessing.
A disciplined life nourishes not only the individual but also their surroundings and society. A consistent and resolute soul increases the abundance of both its own life and the lives of others. When a blessing is combined with discipline and industriousness, it satisfies the soul; it reveals the inner light and makes every moment of life meaningful.
In short, without the active participation and internal discipline of the soul, we cannot comprehend the true meaning and value of blessings. Laxity, laziness, and a lack of willpower weaken the soul; whereas discipline, willpower, and industriousness enrich both the soul and life. As long as a human being turns back to their own essence and strengthens their willpower, they can behold the light of life, taste the abundance of the blessing, and realise the potential of their soul.
