The Truth

The Truth

“You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free” (John 8:31).

Everything begins with recognizing, understanding, and seeing that truth.

The truth Christ was pointing to was the way of life.

In that truth, regarding capabilities and equipping, there is no equality, but rather, incomparability. Each individual is incomparable and unique.

In that truth, there is no scale of greatness to littleness, but rather, the sanctity of human dignity.

In that truth, there is no superiority, but rather, equality.

In that truth, there is no exploitation or abuse, but rather, mutual help and making up for what the other lacks.

In that truth, there is no sameness or similarity, but rather difference and plurality.

In that truth, there is no comparison of aptitudes, but rather using our various aptitudes to fulfill our tasks together.

In that truth, there is humility.

Humility is the ego withdrawing back within its borders. It is to know one’s limits. It is to feel respect toward oneself, toward others, and toward all existence. As we deepen ourselves in that truth, we are delivered from the pressures of the ego, we become free.  We become aware of our responsibility.  We catch the pleasure of -that energy of the pleasure of- being a branch on the vine!

No matter how high the tree grows, if it does not have roots going deep into the ground, it cannot preserve its vitality.

In the same way, if a person does not find and keep harmony with spiritual values and for that matter if they do not go deeper into that harmony, they will not be able to preserve their vitality and productivity.

Because the truth to which Jesus was pointing is the foundational awareness of life. That awareness is love. In that love, there is nothing by the name of corrupt motivations or evil.

May the energy of that love bring warmth to our lives.
